Vehicle Standards and Driver Compliance
1.1. Werner’s Travel and Tours operates professional, fully licensed transfer services that comply with South African transport and tourism legislation.
1.2. All vehicles used are roadworthy, properly permitted, and insured under a comprehensive policy, including passenger liability cover.
1.3. Our drivers are licensed with valid Public Driver Permits (PDPs). Where applicable, they are trained in basic first aid, and all vehicles are stocked with first aid kits.
1.4. For groups larger than the standard capacity (e.g., more than 7 passengers), clients must notify us in advance so that suitable vehicles can be arranged. Larger or specialty vehicle bookings may carry additional charges.
2. Booking and Payment Terms
2.1. All transfer bookings require full payment in advance to confirm the reservation.
2.2. Invoices must be paid immediately upon receipt, and proof of payment must be received before the scheduled transfer.
2.3. Non-payment may result in automatic cancellation without further notice and will be subject to cancellation fees (see Section 5).
3. Rates and Inclusions
3.1. Transfer rates include:
Professional driver
Fuel
Passenger liability insurance
Standard luggage handling
Pick-up and drop-off within Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)
3.2. Standard transfer hours are between 07h00 and 18h00. Transfers scheduled outside these hours will incur a 40% after-hours surcharge.
3.3. A luggage trailer, if needed, must be pre-arranged and will carry an additional charge.
3.4. A waiting fee may apply for delays exceeding 15 minutes past the scheduled departure time.
3.5. All rates are subject to change without prior notice. However, confirmed bookings will be honored at the quoted rate at time of confirmation.
4. Scope of Transfer Services
4.1. Our standard and specialized transfer offerings include:
Local Transfers: Airport, accommodation, lodge, or reserve transfers in and around Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
Intercity Transfers: Long-distance travel across South Africa, with our core service base in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, covering the Eastern Cape and Garden Route, all the way up to Cape Town.
Private Chauffeur Services: Hourly, full-day, and multi-day private driver services tailored to your schedule and needs — ideal for business, leisure, or multi-stop travel.
Wedding Shuttle Services: Reliable and coordinated shuttle solutions for weddings, including guest transport, bridal party transfers, and venue-to-venue services.
Corporate or Event Transfers: Efficient and flexible transport for conferences, meetings, expos, or VIP guest movement. Customised options available for large or complex events.
4.2. All services are subject to vehicle and driver availability at the time of booking.
4.3. Changes to destination, timing, or routing must be approved in advance and may carry additional costs.
5. Cancellations and No-Shows
5.1. Individual Transfers:
Cancellations made within 12 hours of the scheduled transfer time — or failure to show up — will result in a 100% cancellation fee.
5.2. Group Transfers (3 or more guests):
Cancellations made within 7 days of the transfer date are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
5.3. Cancellations must be made in writing and confirmed by Werner’s Travel and Tours to be considered valid.
6. Conditions of Service
6.1. Clients are expected to be ready at the scheduled time and pick-up location. Prolonged delays may result in forfeiture of the transfer.
6.2. Werner’s Travel and Tours reserves the right to replace a vehicle or driver due to operational or safety reasons, provided service quality and safety are maintained.
6.3. Smoking, alcohol consumption, or disruptive behavior is not permitted inside the vehicle. We reserve the right to refuse service under such circumstances without refund.
6.4. All transfer services are governed by the general liability and indemnity principles used by Werner’s Travel and Tours. Clients are advised to obtain personal travel insurance.
